What this job involves, and what moves the price.
An emergency roof call has two separate jobs and only one of them happens on the day. The first is stopping water getting into the house. The second is the permanent repair, and it is usually better done once the roof is dry and once anybody involved in a claim has seen what was there.
Tarping is the first job done properly. A tarp that works is run from above the damage over the ridge and fastened to battens, so water runs over it rather than under it. A tarp weighed down with bricks moves in the next gust and is worth roughly nothing, which is why so many of them fail on the second night.
Included Tarping run over the ridge and battened, not weighted · Active leaks contained before anything else · Damage photographed before cleanup · Permanent repair scoped once the roof is dry · Water stopped before anything else is scoped
How It Works
Call or send the form
Say what you are seeing: a stain, a storm, missing shingles, or a roof you just want an opinion on.
Someone gets on the roof
And into the attic, because the underside of the decking tells you things the surface will not. The inspection is free.
Photographs and a scope
You cannot see your own roof, so you get pictures of what was found and a written scope before any number is agreed.
The work, then the sweep
A tear-off scatters nails across a property. The last job of the day is running a magnet over the drive, the lawn and the beds.
Before You Call
Emergency, answered.
What do I do first when my roof is leaking?
Move what is underneath, contain the water, and if a ceiling is bulging, drain it deliberately at the low point rather than letting it fall. Cut power to circuits near the water. Photograph everything before you clean anything up.
How quickly can someone come out?
Call rather than filling in the form. After a widespread hail event every roofer in Dallas is working through a queue, and a house with water coming into it is not an assessment visit.
Should I tarp the roof myself?
Not in the rain and not in the dark. Wet roofs are the single most dangerous thing about this trade, and a tarp fitted badly can channel more water in than it keeps out.
Does insurance pay for emergency tarping?
Most Texas homeowner policies cover reasonable temporary repairs to prevent further damage, and many require you to take them. Keep the receipt and the photographs.
Why Homeowners Pick Us
A tarp that works runs over the ridge. A tarp that fails is held down with bricks.
Water has to run over the cover rather than under it. The permanent repair is better done once the roof is dry and once anyone involved in a claim has seen what was there.

The Difference
The part that decides whether it lasts.
The first hour matters and most of it is inside. Move what is under the drip. Put a bucket down. If a ceiling is bulging with trapped water, a small hole punched at the low point drains it in a controlled way instead of letting a section of drywall come down in one piece. Kill power to any circuit near the water. Then photograph everything, before anything is moved or cleaned, because that record is worth more to a claim than any description.
What does not help is anyone getting on a wet roof in the dark. Composition shingle is slick when wet, wet slate and tile are worse, and every year in North Texas someone is badly hurt doing exactly this during a storm.
