Repair Before Replacement
What a roof actually needs.
- Roof Replacement Priced by the square, quoted before the tear-off.
- Roof Repair Fixed before it spreads.
- Storm and Hail Damage Repair The bruise you cannot see from the driveway.
- Roof Inspection Free, and sometimes the answer is nothing yet.
- Composition Shingle Roofing The nailing is what you can never see afterwards.
- Metal Roofing It fails at the fasteners, not the panels.
- Clay and Concrete Tile Roofing Broken tiles are a repair, not a tear-off.
- Slate Roofing Replaced with a ripper, never face-nailed.
The rest of the list, by roof material and by what has gone wrong: wood shake, flat and low-slope roofs, leaks, flashing and chimneys, skylights, attic ventilation, emergency call-outs, decking and structure, wind damage and waterproofing.
And off the same job: gutters, soffit and fascia and roof cleaning.

Hail, Street By Street
Hail does not fall evenly across Dallas.
Run the NOAA storm reports for the last two years against the city and the southwest quadrant, Oak Cliff included, takes several times the concentration the north side does. A roof here ages on a faster clock, and the damage that costs you the roof is a bruise under the surface rather than anything visible from the driveway.
Roof ReplacementHow It Works
From the first look to the last nail.
- 01
Call or send the form
Say what you are seeing: a stain, a storm, missing shingles, or a roof you just want an opinion on.
- 02
Someone gets on the roof
And into the attic, because the underside of the decking tells you things the surface will not. The inspection is free.
- 03
Photographs and a scope
You cannot see your own roof, so you get pictures of what was found and a written scope before any number is agreed.
- 04
The work, then the sweep
A tear-off scatters nails across a property. The last job of the day is running a magnet over the drive, the lawn and the beds.

Common Questions
Questions we get in Dallas.
Straight answers, and the number is at the top of every page if yours is not here.
Do you charge for a roof inspection?
No. Inspections and estimates are free, and that includes being told the roof does not need work yet. Free inspection is standard across residential roofing in Dallas, so it should not be the thing that decides who you call.
What areas do you cover?
Dallas and out to roughly 36 miles from the Oak Cliff yard in 75211, which takes in Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Lancaster, Grand Prairie, Irving, Mesquite and the rest of Dallas County.
What roof materials do you work on?
Composition shingle, metal, clay and concrete tile, slate, wood shake, and flat or low-slope membrane. Each of those is a separate skill with its own repair list, which is why they are separate pages on this site rather than one.
Should I repair my roof or replace it?
Age, how localised the damage is, and the state of the shingle mat. A roof under fifteen with damage in one area is usually a repair; a roof past twenty leaking in several places is money spent twice. Nobody can answer it from the driveway.
How quickly can someone come out for a leak?
Call rather than filling in the form. After a widespread hail event every roofer in Dallas is working through a queue, and water actively coming into a house is not an assessment visit.
Do you handle insurance claims?
Storm and hail damage repair is a core part of the work, and a proper inspection produces dated photographs of what was found. A claim turns on that documentation more than on the damage itself. Ask on the visit how far we go with your carrier before the adjuster is booked.
What happens to all the nails after a tear-off?
A magnet sweep of the drive, the lawn and the beds is the last job of the day. It is the detail homeowners with kids and dogs ask about most and the one most quotes never mention.
